Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Lori Huitron is a Native American and Latina heritage Scalp Care Specialist, Certified Hair Loss Specialist, and Trichology-trained educator. An original voice in the world of scalp and crown care, Lori has spent more than two decades helping people understand the connection between hair, scalp health, and overall wellness.

Our Story: From Personal Loss to a Lifelong Mission

Hui Hui Essentials was founded in Hollywood, California, in 2015, born out of both heartbreak and purpose.

After losing her best friend at just 29 years old, Lori experienced her own hair loss and scalp issues while coping with grief. As a professional hairstylist for nearly two decades, she had seen scalp conditions in countless clients, but experiencing it herself changed everything.

She searched for a product that was safe, effective, and truly organic, and came up empty. Everything on the market was either harsh, synthetic, or simply didn't work. So she set out to create her own solution: a non-toxic, non-GMO, ritualistic hair growth stimulant designed to repair scalp conditions and restore balance from the root up.

Rooted in ancestral wisdom, Lori creates organic, plant-powered scalp care in small batches, drawing on traditional botanical knowledge passed down through generations.
